nathan lyle

June 7, 2012

As I stand in the quiet dark outside my front door,
The silent light from distant stars ends an impossibly long journey.
Across the depths of space the light has raced,
And become the punctuation of a lovely evening for me.
As I climb the short distance of my porch, I find myself amazed,
that such a fleeting, peaceful moment results from the billions of distant continuous explosions ablaze.
